Nursing Services

We have two nursing units. The West Wing accommodates fifty-six adults with complex physical care requirements. The East Wing accommodates fifty-six residents who live with dementia, including Alzheimer's, and require specialized care. Nursing units are the responsibility of two Program Leaders. Their teams include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Personal Care Aides. Every member of the team plays a vital role in the delivery of care which is client focused and driven by our Mission and Values.

Nursing staff collaborates with other on-staff professionals such as the Dietician and the Physiotherapist as well as the client and the family members to create an individualized plan of care that best serves the client's needs. All care at Father Lacombe Care Centre is holistic - designed to meet each client's physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs.

A medical advisor and/or family physician supervise all medical care.
